Research Poster Competition

The Research Poster Competition (RPC) will be held virtually the week of April 5, 2021. Take advantage of this opportunity to present your original research to the university community and hone your presentation skills. Competitors may present their posters individually or with co-authors in video format. Each poster will be evaluated by a panel of faculty judges in relation to the research or creative products associated with the discipline. Winners of the poster competition will be announced during the Graduate and Professional Students Research and Awards Showcase on April 9, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The competition is open to all active, enrolled Pacific graduate students in good academic standing. Participants will have the opportunity to join info sessions and workshops leading up to the event.

When and Where

Week of April 5: Poster presentations will be available to the university community through Scholarly Commons. Our panel of judge's will announce the week's winners at the Graduate and Professional Student Research and Awards Showcase on April 9 at 4 p.m.

March 26 — Deadline to abstract and video presentation

During a face-to-face meeting, a poster session is a graphic presentation of an author's research, printed and pinned to a board. For the virtual meeting, the poster session will be pre-recorded using Zoom or a video recording app of your choice. 

Basic Details

  • Poster presenters must be graduate or professional students (up to 5 presenters).
  • Poster Sessions will be pre-recorded.
  • Because poster sessions are not live, there is no specific date/time for each poster. Your poster will be available on-demand through Scholarly Commons the week of April 5.
  • Your pre-recorded presentation should be five to 10 minutes long.
  • You must upload your recorded presentation as an MP4 or MOV file by March 26. Register here.
  • If you need to cancel, you must withdraw your presentation through Scholarly Commons.
